Enabling Commenting Rights

Date:Mon, 10 Nov 2008 13:33:01 +0100

Hi,

Using ITextSharp , with some tweaks to the PDF Document's catalog
dictionary. I was able to achieve the extended reader support for my
pdf documents. (i.e) Commenting and reviewing rights.

But I recently read the following text from the PDF Reference manual

"Adobe Systems grants permissions, for example, to enable additional
features in Adobe Reader, using public-key cryptography. It uses
certificate authorities to issue public key certificates to document
creators with which it has entered into a business relationship."

Am I doing anything wrong here (Violating EULA). please let me know
your view on this.

Kind regards,
Julie

You are violating the EULA. Only Adobe tools can create enabled
documents.
