I am using Acrobat 6 Pro and recently, when closing documents, I am prompted
to "Save Changes" when none have been made. I had a similar problem in MS
Word many years ago but can't remember what caused it. Is there a fix for
Acrobat to stop this annoying dialog box popping up?
Thanks in advance for any assistance.
Regards
Karen

This is supposedly for Word 2002 but it may give a clue for PDF files.

Thank you for your suggestion. This doesn't help with Acrobat but did remind
me of how I solved the problem in Word.

Acrobat asks you this if it repairs a damaged PDF file. When you opened
the file it might have flashed up a modal dialog *very* quickly telling
you that the file was damaged and was being repaired.
Try saving the file with a different name nad then opening the newly
saved copy. If it opens and does not prompt you when closing then I
would suggest the original file is damaged in some way.

Thank you for this. I will try this for a solution. I am not quite sure if
it was just the one file, although I think there were several files that
were created recently. I have a Canon scanner and usually scan hard copy
documents to PDF before adding comments. Files created directly from within
an Office program are usually OK. I don't recall seeing any quick dialog
flash up though.
