Re-Encoding "broken" PDFs

Hi there,

I'm looking for a smart and simple solution to re-encode some "broken" PDFs.
I can open them in Adobe Reader and they are displayed as they should.
If I print them with Adobe Reader, some lines of text are unreadable,
have strange characters instead of the text,
or there is even some text missing.
If I print these PDFs with "gsprint" from ghostgum,
the result is perfect and all the lines are ok.
The question is: Is one of the commandline-tools from ghostscript/ghostgum
able to re-encode PDFs, so that i can print them in Adobe reader without
mistakes?
